Manuel E. Miranda Lda
Our company was founded in 1981 under the name of Manuel E. Miranda Lda, by incorporation of the business developed by one of its founders since 1973.
We are situated in the town of Marinha Grande which was the cradle of the plastics injection moulds industry and is today one of its main centres in Portugal.
The plastic mouldmaking industry was born here due mainly to the existence of a large and long industrial tradition in making moulds for the pressing and rotational moulding of glass articles used in the big local glass factories. The technical and labour aptitude here available were the big step ahead in the way to the new challenge to start making moulds for the plastic moulding industry beginning of the 4th decade of past century.
We are located around 130Km north of Lisbon and about an 1 hour from Lisbon airport on the A8 motorway.
TYPE OF MOULDS WE PRODUCE
We have the response capacity to produce high-quality moulds weighing up to 30 tonnes using conventional injection and hot runner systems (DME, Yudo, Mold-Master, Incoe, PSG, MasterFlow, etc.). We have very good experience in Two-component moulds, Bicolour, Overmoulding, Stack Moulds, automatic unscrewing, thin wall packaging and gas-assisted, etc. for various areas and industries such as:
